Costa Rica's Northwest Pacific Scuba Diving
Local dive sites are abundant and offer a wide variety of both pelagics and small critters for macro photography.  Many of Costa Rica's Northwest Pacific dive sites are as close as 10 minutes from your hotel, as well as the Catalina Islands and Bat Islands (known as the Murcielagos).  Catalina Islands are done as a local dives from Flamingo and Tamarindo areas, but are considered a long-range dive from Hermosa, Ocotal, and Coco.  Some of the operators in the area offer Nitrox and Handicap Divers are welcome.

Scuba diving in the Northwest Pacific and the protected Gulf of Papagayo can be done year-round because there are no rivers draining into the water, so  visibility is not adversely affected by the rain. In fact, visibility is often enhanced as the rain settles the plankton and rich nutrients that are abundant in Costa Rica.

NEW: Combine Costa Rica diving and fishing, Catalina & Bat Islands (1 and 2 tank dives) can be pre-booked in conjunction with any hotel/dive package.
