Get ready, you’re about to surf Costa Rica. Learn to surf at one of the world’s best surfing beaches. We enjoy consistent waves throughout the year, often with world-class wind conditions. Great surfing conditions means better rides and more fun. Our surf instructors will help get you onto the peak and into the set waves. You’ll be remembering these surf sessions for years to come. Our instructors are fully insured and properly trained in water and surf safety, CPR and First Aid.
Tamarindo, Costa Rica is a surfers’ paradise, drawing surfers from around the globe. One of the greatest attractions is the diversity and consistency of the surf, not to mention the year round balmy water temperatures. Tamarindo, located on the North Pacific Coast is ranked in the Top 10 beaches to learn to surf in the world. The bay offers a long, clean curl that is great for beginner surfers.
Beginners learn the basics of paddling, standing, and turning, as well as wave selection and other fundamental skills from our instructors, some of the best and most experienced in the country. They have completed rigorous international surf instructor and ocean lifesaver training, so you will feel comfortable and safe in the water. We have been teaching people to surf day in and day out for more than 20 years.
What to Bring
- Clothing: Casual Beachwear
- Bathing Suit
- Hat, Visor or cap,
- Polarized Sunglasses
- Sunscreen, insect repellent
- Camera with extra batteries, film/cards
- For any adventure tours you will need shoes that stay on your feet (TEVAS or Tennis shoes)
- Backpack or Hip-pack to carry essentials on tour
- Other items you might like to bring: Refillable water bottle, flashlight, rain poncho or light umbrella, extra batteries for your electronic devices, and binoculars
