Join us and get prepared for an exciting and thrilling time with a full day of challenging class III & IV white water rafting! Set deep in the Costa Rican rain forests, Sarapiquí River, declared as National Patrimony, gives us the perfect blend of natural beauty and one of the best white water rafting in the country, with big waves and amazing technical rapids. White water river rafting along the Rio Sarapiquí is a marvelous way to explore Costa Rica’s tropical rainforest flora and fauna. It is one of the rivers that flows down from the Cordillera Central, the mountainous central highlands. The class of rapids is dependent on the location and the time of year. After an abundant rainy season, the river will be considerably more active than right before the next rainy season begins.
After meeting with your river guide we will drive 90 minutes to the put in in where the fun begins! Your guides will explain the safety security procedures and safety equipment before embarking down the river. Then we will take the PLUNGE and start the adventure! Halfway through our journey we will “re-fuel” on the river bank and enjoy some delicious tropical fruits while soaking in the tropical surroundings. At the end of our journey, a cold drink and dry towel will await you before a short ride where you can change into dry clothes and have a delicious Typical Costa Rican Lunch.

What to bring
- Go dressed ready to hike and to get WET. Be sure to wear TEVAs or old tennis shoes – something that is sure to stay on your feet. (Have bathing suit underneath your clothes and bring a bag to leave dry clothes in – guides will keep this bag at base camp while you are rafting)
- Bring Comb, TOWEL, and other Toiletries with you in bag to leave with guides
- Sunscreen, insect repellent
- T-Shirt of Long-Sleeved shirt to prevent sunburn
- Waterproof Camera with lanyard that you can attach to your vest
- Do NOT bring anything that you do not want to get WET
- Gloves if you have tender hands as you must paddle.
