Waterfall Rappelling & Zip Lining In Costa Rica - Bill Beard Costa Rica

It’s not the only country in Central America to offer adventurous vacations, but it’s certainly one of the most popular. Fueled by a great tourism slogan “No Artificial Ingredients”

Costa Rica was one of the first out of the gate years ago with a safe and well-organized infrastructure for then-unknown attractions like zip-lining.

Fast forward to 2015,  and zip-lining, offering the ultimate bird’s-eye view of the forest with a quick zip across the treetops, by cable, is just one of many eco-adventure activities available in this tiny country. High-flying options include Sky Trek and Sky Tram, both at Arenal Volcano. Sky Tram offers views of the forest, volcano and lake from the secure confines of a gondola, while Sky Trek brings you back down via 2.7 kilometers of cables. There’s even a Sky Trek Night Tour for the truly adventurous. Of course, Sky Tram is also an option for the return trip.

Another outfit booked by Bill Beard’s, Guachepelin, offers an eco-adventure day package featuring canyoning & waterfall rappelling, horseback riding and canopy zip-lining, hot springs, mud baths plus lunch.

“Three Generations in Costa Rica”
5 of 5 stars on Trip Advisor by Gary M of Houston

“We took our daughter and her family to Costa Rica for the week of July 4 (8 of us in total including three kids, 1, 3 and 5). We stayed in a house in Playa Hermosa, just about 25 minutes from Liberia. We did not discover Bill Beard’s Costa Rica until a couple of weeks before the trip, but I wish we had learned of them earlier. They booked cars for us through Adobe Rent a Car, which was perfect. Adobe picked us up at the airport in a van, took charge of all our luggage, and dropped us off at the rental location just about 10 minutes from the airport. We also booked the Tempisque River Boat Tour through Bill Beard’s. The guides picked us up at our rental house for the half day trip in a van, drove us to the river and accompanied us on the tour (where we had a boat to ourselves). The river trip was a good opportunity to get up close to monkeys, crocodiles, large lizards and birds, but the highlight of the day was the post cruise lunch hosted by several local ladies in a nearby village. The meal was outstanding local fare, and was prepared in an indoor/outdoor kitchen exclusively for our family. Cameras are a must; walking shoes are nice, but not essential. Next time, I will give Bill Beard’s an opportunity to plan more of our trip, because they seem to know Costa Rica very well and Nadine treats you like family.”
