Why Would A Dive Shop Or Club Want To Take A Group To Costa Rica? - Bill Beard Costa Rica

The first question is: Why would a dive shop or club want to take a group to Costa Rica? Other than the fact that it’s an exciting great value trip and a lot of fun for your customers & members to a beautiful, safe, nearby country with spectacular marine life, lots of activities, adventure and wonderful accommodations.Costa Rica scuba diving Catalina Islands

This is Bill Beard’s 47h year of operating scuba diving in Costa Rica and 31st year of combining adventure activities with scuba diving packages.

Costa Rica is a great all-around destination for divers and non-divers alike.  Many couples have one diver and one non-diver in the family so it is a perfect destination for both.  We have afternoon canopy and wildlife tours that can be done after diving in the AM, so the non-divers do not feel left out or like they are on a “dive only” vacation. All of the divers and non-divers can enjoy hot springs, mud baths,

spas, river rafting, canopy tours, wildlife boat tours and much more that may be enjoyed together.   Nearly every dive group who has come to Costa Rica has returned with many of the same people and more who heard about the trip and saw the photos.  The excitement is infectious.

We enjoy local dive some as close as 10 minutes to the beach. We also have a mid range dive at Catalina Islands that takes about 20 minutes and long range dives to Bat Islands where Big Scare and Black Rock are located that takes about 45 minutes.

Whale Shark In Costa RicaNo matter what adventure you crave, you’ll find it in Costa Rica — both topside and underwater. Try speeding through the rain-forest canopy on a zip line or scuba diving with bull sharks. Bordered by the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea in the heart of Central America, Costa Rica is a prime ecotourism destination and boasts some of the world’s most biologically diverse habitats – including rainforest, volcano and mangrove ecosystems. While the Caribbean coast has yet to develop a serious scuba diving infrastructure, diving off the Pacific Coast is nothing short of spectacular. The underwater volcanic rock formations and pinnacles are home to small hard corals, sponges and gorgonians. Guanacaste is a giant bay off the northwest coast that provides access to Catalina and Bat Islands – key dive areas. The southern area is a protected biological reserve and offers the chance to see rays, turtles, and white-tip reef sharks. Plus, you’ll see large schools of fish swimming overhead on almost every dive. You can also get out to Cocos Island off the Pacific coast to dive with its hammerhead shark schools, whale sharks and manta rays.

Sublimely beautiful Costa Rica has something for everyone. The treats range from exciting adventure to leisurely relaxation, and everything in between that we can add to your vacation package. Furthermore, tourists can sample the laid-back national lifestyle that ticos (the name the Costa Ricans call themselves) refer to as ‘Pura Vida’ – ‘pure life’: no stress, no hassle. All this, combined with unsurpassed natural beauty and a developed and accommodating tourist industry, makes Costa Rica a wonderful place to visit and vacation.
